Latest response

I am having difficulty installing wifi drivers for broadcom4360 on RHEL 7.3 workstation. My kernel version is 3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x86_64. Did anybody succeed in getting wifi to work ?

Hi,

could you describe the steps you did so far?

My steps involved getting the akmod from rpmfusion or compiling the wl downloaded from Broadcom's site.

//Zdenek

I followed the procedure described on this page https://elrepo.org/tiki/wl-kmod. However, I am unable to implement the last and final step number 7 because I am unable to locate kmod-wl*rpm file.

I also tried to compile the wl downloaded from Broadcom's but it resulted in a long list of errors that I was not able to resolve.

Were you able to follow the steps up to number 6 without any issue? For example, at step 5 when you run the rpmbuild command, did you see the line "Wrote: /home//rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/kmod-wl-.x86_64.rpm" in your output?

Yes ! I did see that output. Now I know where to look for the file.

I was able to locate the file and implement the remaining steps. Now the wireless is working. Thank you for your help !

That is great news. If you have kmod-wl related question in the future, you may want to post to the ELRepo mailing list.
