GUI Linux
After Automatic upgrade of RedHat Enterprise Linux Workstation from 7.2x to 7.3, my workstation does not boot to GUI shell. Nvidia display drivers do not load. There might be some other drivers that HP 640Z might also need that are missing. I get a few USB, KVM, errors but these do not contribute to having 7.3 to boot to GUI.
1) I am forced to boot to terminal.
2) Reinstall Nvidia driver.
3) issue startx -- to get the GUI working.
This adds 5 min to my boot-up time.
--> Problem is this process has to be repeated every time I boot.
Why do I have to reinstall the Nvidia driver each time?
What pointer is missing?
I appreciate any feedback or advice that I may try?
Thank you.

Not sure if this will help you, but check this Red Hat solution https://access.redhat.com/solutions/68650. I also found this link at the NVIDIA website https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/974867/linux/cuda-package-not-robust-to-rhel-7-2-to-7-3-upgrade/ but I have no idea if the 2nd link is applicable to your situation.
Hope you get it resolved soon
