Creating a Terminal Server

Latest response

I am looking at ways to build a Terminal Server using RHEL7 where I connect using the VPN of the firewall and would like to have about 150 users be able to connect to the server. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One of the easiest - and relatively secure - methods is to simply allow SSH-based connections to the host, configure GDM to accept loopback connections, then have your remote users run Xnest over an SSH-tunnel. If you're looking to have 150 simultaneous connections, you're going to need a system with a fairly beefy amount of RAM and CPU to accommodate the overhead of graphics and encryption.
