Online courses- is a book included?
I am interested in taking the Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (RH342) for Linux but I wonder if an accompanying book is included with the purchase of that course.

Normally you get a book for each course you take.
From my experience, you even get two books (course + lab).

There's two types/categories of online courses I've been through, one is a virtual classroom that lasts 4 days, and there is an instructor leading the class, with others involved in the class as well. In the four-day instructor-led virtual training, I have received a book. (this link goes to a Red Hat pdf file with FAQ on virtual 4-day class training where it says the materials are sent to the week prior)
The other category is the self-paced "90-day subscription providing unlimited user access to Red Hat Online Learning course content and webinars" but (in my and my co-worker's experience) no book.
Edited: Red Hat has a 3rd option called "LS120 Red Hat Learning Subscription" (I haven't tried it yet) for about $5500 USD, you get one year's access "Including all Red Hat Online Learning courses and content"
The Red Hat Learning Subscription allows you to download a pdf copy of the student workbook. I have not run into any courses that offer a lab book... this may be redundant since you receive 400 hours of lab access.
I cannot find how to export to PDF, how can you do that?
In the upper right hand corner of a video classroom you will see four icons. A magnifying glass, a flask, a book and question mark. Click on the book and it says download custom watermarked Student Guide for personal use. The link can take a few seconds to generate the pdf. If you click a few times and it does not open a window or start a download, check your browser to allow popups from rol.redhat.com.
Safari on OS X was a little annoying because it did not present me with a window that a popup was blocked. Chrome alerts you in the upper right hand bar of the video class.
