Issues with Capsule Content not synch'ing with Parent

Latest response

Looking for anyone else experiencing this issue:
Have a composite content view published to our LAB environment which contains the 7Server release as well as the Satellite Tools channel.
On the Satellite Server, the content view has the proper packages listed (in this case looking for the grub2 recently released

On the Capsule, the same package is not for the Content View.

Have tried forcing a capsule content sync a few times, and it shows successful. If you watch the goferd journal it'll show the appropriate channels being updated.
hammer capsule content synchronize --id=2

On the client end, the system doesn't have the latest grub2 available for updating

Satellite reports through the webUI that the Errata is Applicable and Installable for the relevant clients in that environment.

This is Satellite 6.1.5 (just updated this morning)
I already have a case open, but thought it might be faster if anyone else has the same issue.

Hi Will,

I am having a similar issue. Have you been able to find a workaround or fix?

Firstly I'd say , if you aren't running 6.1.8, upgrade your Satellite and Capsules to the latest versions all the way around. Many fixes have been included in the last few releases.

In addition make sure that goferd is communicating properly

I haven't seen the issue in quite some time, so I'm assuming it was resolved in one of the previous releases.

Thanks Will. I have installed the latest and greatest and 6.1.8 it is. I know that the Capsule and Satellite also need to match in terms of versions and have verified that as well. I have the Satellite running of a RHEL6 server and the Capsule running off a RHEL 7 server but both are using the same version (6.1.8) - I will check that goferd is running correctly.

Appreciate your feedback Will!

Thanks
