For those that didn't see it, RHEL 7.2 is GA as of 11/19/2015

Mr Hinton,

I was slightly shocked the way I found it. I just saw it checking the list of installed rpms. As an accredited Sales Person working for an Advanced Partner a personal note would have been appreciated. How can we sell a new release of a Red Hat product if we are not informed by Red Hat? I am only an "internal sales person".

The external Sales people might get in the painful situation: "Why do you try to sell me RHEL 7.1 as the current RHEL 7 release, do not you know RHEL 7.2 is available?"

Kind regards,

Jan Gerrit Kootstra

Valid points!

We have people eager for the updates to "Containers" and 7.2 was highly appetizing to my own customers. You make valid points. I receive ooodles of other Red Hat notifications. I too would have appreciated some notice.

Advanced Partners in EMEA could be "warned" in Frankfurt last month, if they would have attended the partnership conference, (which was very great also due to all the effort of the EMEA team). The informal announcement was done: "In calendar period Q4 the GA would probably be announced". Still the real GA announcement did not reach me, before your discussion article. Thanks for the information.

Glad to help :)

I only discovered 7.2 was no longer Beta, and was GA because I had to download the ISO for some server builds... Else, I would not have known...

Usually we know because of a large amounts of emails related to the same version. That's it.
