SAMBA share with windows 7

Latest response

I am attempting to set up a samba share between my RHEL 5.11 and a windows 7 PC on the same network. I installed samba-3.0.33-3.40.el5_10.x86_64.rpm and then proceeded to edit the smb.conf file. I added a samba user and changed the password. When I try to connect to the share from a windows machine I get "ERROR - Connection reset by peer" in /var/log/samba/smb.log.

I have tried all of the secpol.msc edits on the win7 machine as far as NTLM settings go. I edited the iptables to allow the samba tcp ports. Is there any thing else I can check? I will not be able to provide any logs since it is on a closed network.

I was missing an entry in my smb.conf. client and server signing = yes.
