upgrade
Hi there,
Currently my system running on RHEL5 32 bit at ProLiant DL580 G5.
Can I upgrade to RHEL5 64 bit on existing server?
Is it RHEL5 64 bit support my hardware?

Hi,
Direct upgrade from a 32-bit to 64-bit system is not supported. Also, RHEL 5 is in the End of Production support phase, which means that if you were to reinstall the system, it would be advisable to choose RHEL 6 or 7.
As for 64-bit support on your machine, you can check by using, for example, the following command:
grep -ow 'lm' /proc/cpuinfo
If it outputs lm, your CPU is 64-bit.
