RHEL 7 installation doesn't start in Virtual Box
Dears,
I'm trying to install RHEL 7.1 evaluation version (iso file) on Oracle Virtualbox (4.3.28), but after selecting "Install RHEL 7.1" Virtual box screen just goes blank. Please see the attached image.
Here are some options used in Virtual box:
General:
OS: RedHat (32 bit)
System:
Base memory: 1024 MB
Storage:
Controller: IDE
IDE secondary master, [optical drive]
Sata port 0, redhat.vdi
Kindly assist me with this problem. Please let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks and Regards
Barani

Hi, I noticed RHEL 7.1 is only availabe in x86_64 architecture and not 32 bit.
- Make sure to configure your system for 64-bit within the virtualbox virtual system.
- If you have not already done so, go to the BIOS of your system and make sure virtualization is enabled, quite often the default from the computer manufacturer is disabled
- Do a sha256sum (somehow, you're probably using windows) of the ISO file to see if it is corrupted or not (it happens occasionally), and if required, re-download the RHEL 7.1 ISO file again, and use the Binary (not boot disk) to load the system.
RHEL 7.1 Binary DVD SHA-256 Checksum:

- Check some youtube examples of installing RHEL 7.1 on virtualbox.

Hi,
Just one question is virtualization is mandatory for installation RHEL 7.3. My system dose not support virtualization. I wan to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.3 on Intel(R) Core 2 DUO T6500 2.10Ghz. my hardware configuration is RAM: 8 GB, Hard disk: 350gb, CPU: Intel(R) Core 2 DUO T6500 2.10Ghz.
My system does not support Intel-VT. Will the above configuration support for this installations.
I am having the same issue. Trying to install a red hat ISO into virtual box. I downloaded the rhel-server-7.3-ppc64-boot and set it to the optical drive of the VM and it won't read it. I have subsequently created VMs for Ubuntu and Fedora, pointed the CD ROM to the ISO file and they installed upon booting. Any idea what it would be? The other VMs are working fine. I even downloaded it twice to make sure it wasn't a corrupt ISO. Also tried downloading 7.2. No joy. Thanks
