Installing RHEL 7 with 32 bit support

Latest response

I am trying to find a way to install RHEL 7 with full 32 bit support. RHEL 6 - 64 would by default. I am installing from a usb key that has all of the rpms on it both 64 and 32 bit but when I run through the installation procedure there is no choice to install both 64 and 32 bit packages. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi John,

64-bit RHEL includes 32-bit packages for basic compatibility with existing 32-bit applications. Normally, you would install the 64-bit version of the system, and a subset of 32-bit packages (which are included in repositories of the 64-bit version) would get installed for dependency or compatibility purposes. Please, see https://access.redhat.com/solutions/55888 (How to install both 32-bit and 64-bit RPM packages on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 64-bit system).
