LDAP Authentication - Permission Denied on login

Latest response

Has anyone been able to successfully setup Satellite 6 on RHEL 7 and get LDAP integration working with Active Directory?

I have been able to set up an LDAP provider, and have been able to get Satellite to authenticate an AD user, but they are then greeted with the following error message:

Permission denied
You are not authorized to perform this action
Please request the required privileges from a Satellite 6 administrator

Create account in Foreman is checked, but I never see the AD user show up in Users menu, should it?

Am I missing something in my setup maybe?

Hello,

The first login, create the user in no organization.

So login to Sat6 server as your local administrator.

Go to organizations, and change it to "any organization".

Then go back to the user list, you should see your user there.

Then add permissions, and dont forget to put them in an Organization, and locations.

I see the same message you do, and see the users under any org any location, but can't get them into an org or location by default at login time. I would like them to belong to an org when they login..
