mount: special device does not exist

unable to mount the file system.

ls -ld /dev/mapper does not showing volume gorup.
vgscan also not showing volume iformaiton.
getting error wipe cache device
volume group is not found

You may need to provide more information about your system configuration and about the problem you're experiencing. Based on what you have written, I would suggest you check the following Customer Portal solution: Mount gives the error: mount: special device does not exist.

After i create the vg group and lv on the server. i am not able to mount the file sysytem the created lvs are addded in /etc/fstab file.

It seems the last step you are missing is to create a file system. Simplest examples, depend on type of file system:

mkfs.ext4 /dev/block_device

or

mkfs.xfs /dev/block_device
