Redhat Directory Server from redhat-ds to 389-base

Latest response

Hello Everybody,
I'm trying to install RHEL Directory Server. I'm reading the Directory Server 9.1 Instructions. However It keeps mentioning to install redhat-ds. I find no mentioned of this when I search yum. However, I do find 389-base. I know RHEL's DS is based on 389. Did they change the name of the package in the repo? and if so, what packages should I install? Thank you.

Hello

Were you able to subscribe to the repo? I took a quick look and I see it is explained in Chapter 3 of the "Red Hat Directory Server 9 Installation Guide", here:
Setting up Red Hat Directory Server on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

hi,
I was not able to subscribe the repo. But I couldn't even find the repo so I could subscribe to it.

There are guides that explain how to register a system here: Red Hat Subscription Management

David,

389 Directory Server to Red Hat Directory Server, as is Fedora to RHEL.

You need a subscription to the product to be able to access the channel for Red Hat Directory Server.
389 Directory Server is distributed with your RHEL subscription.

Kind regards,
