fyi i use windows 7 as my computer access

You need to use the ISO-uploader utility.

Please see the following documentation:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.1/html/Administration_Guide/sect-Uploading_ISO_Files_with_the_ISO_Uploader_Tool.html

Regarding the console: I have never attempted to use Windows to manage RHEV, but you will need to find the SPICE browser plugin. Hopefully someone else will be able to provide some guidance on that topic. This may help:

It is generally a good idea to ALWAYS use that tool to manage your ISO files.

Hi Rai,

I agree with James in that the ISO Uploader is the easiest way to make an ISO file accessible to your virtual machines, but here are a few additional comments based on my own experience working with ISO storage domains.

First, even if you upload an ISO file to your ISO storage domain using the ISO Uploader, it may not be immediately visible in the 'Attach CD' list in the New Virtual Machine and Edit Virtual Machine windows unless you click the refresh button.

If you ever need to manually copy ISO files into your ISO storage domain, the Manager should pick up on them, but you may need to perform a few actions on those ISO files first. Most importantly, you need to grant ownership of the ISO file to the VDSM user in the KVM group (36.36), and may need to change the mode on the ISO file to allow group read-write access as well.

However, while this will work for ISO files, I have not yet seen it work for virtual floppy disks such as the virtio disks that come with Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization. For these, you will need to use the ISO Uploader.

In regards to your console issues, it looks like you need to install the Remote Viewer client for Windows.
You can find instructions on how to do that here:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.4/html-single/User_Guide/index.html#sect-Installing_Console_Components

Let me know if you have any further issues!

Andrew
