Red Hat Academy Course Attendance: Digital Badges & Certification


To celebrate your learning accomplishments, Red Hat Academy issues official Credly Digital Badges to recognize course attendance and completion. These verifiable digital credentials allow you to easily showcase your verified Red Hat skills to employers and your professional network.

Overview of Digital Credentials
Course Attendance Credly badges have officially replaced the legacy Certificate of Attendance (previously issued through the Red Hat Learning Community) and the Program Learner badge.

  • Before March 19, 2025: Users who completed a class prior to this date will continue to have access to their historical certificates of attendance. No retrospective digital badges will be issued.
  • After March 19, 2025: Any class completed after this date automatically issues a Credly digital badge alongside a downloadable certificate.
Earning Criteria
To automatically trigger a badge, users must meet the following platform requirements:

  • For Students: You must meet or exceed the specific course attendance percentage required by your instructor within the Red Hat Academy Learning Platform.
  • For Instructors: You must complete at least 75% of the self-paced course material via the Get Trained and Certified section on the Red Hat Academy Learning Platform.
How to Claim Your Badge
If you do not have one already, you must first create a free account on Credly using the same email address you have used for Red Hat login. Once eligible, you can claim your badge using either of these two methods:

  • Via the RHA Platform: Claim it directly through your dashboard on the Red Hat Academy Learning Platform
  • Via Email: Look for an automated notification sent directly from Credly (admin@credly.com) to your registered email address.
Note: Once you accept your badge on Credly, you will also have the option to download a printable PDF certificate of completion.
