When running yum in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 to install packages from my satellite, why do I get an "M2Crypto.SSL.Checker.WrongHost" error?

This error is most often caused by a misconfiguration.

If yum connects to the satellite via SSL (default), it sends the name provided in the serverURL parameter in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date. This must default to the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) of the satellite server. If you get this error, then you most likely have set serverURL
