Unloading the bonding module when SELinux is disabled occasionally shows errors on RHEL 6.

Issue:

  • Having SELinux disabled and an alias in /etc/modprobe.d/bonding.conf like:
alias bond0 bonding
  • Running "modprobe -r" on the bonding module once it's loaded may produce an error in /var/log/messages.
  • An example of what the error might look like is:
kernel: bonding: bond0: released all...
