What is the procedure to get the latest "ServeRAID-8i" drivers for an IBM System x server?

The procedure below needs to be followed:

  • Start at: http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/support

  • Select "System x" under "Product Support.

  • Select the server under "Product Family" (optionally select the "Type" and "Model"), "Red Hat Enterprise Linux" under "Operating System," and click on "go"

  • Select the "Download" tab (if not already on it)

  • Select the "RAID" category under "Refine Results"

Keep in mind that Red Hat does not provide support for any problems associated with the vendor-supplied driver, however Red Hat will assist with getting any cases transfered to the appropriate support personnel within IBM.
