Calculating sockets in subscription-manager
subscription-manager reads procfs to obtained data about the hardware in a system.
You can query the data subscription-manager has obtained by using the facts option:
# subscription-manager facts | grep ^cpu
cpu.core(s)_per_socket: 4
cpu.cpu(s): 4
cpu.cpu_socket(s): 1
