Why the pdksh package in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 does not get upgraded while upgrading from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 to Red Hat Enterpirse Linux 5 Beta?

Upgrading from one version to another is not recommended. Moving a system from Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5 is best done by backing up the data and configuration files and a fresh install. Also, upgrading from any version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux to Beta is not supported.
