Red Hat Marketplace FAQ
What is Red Hat Marketplace?
Red Hat Marketplace is a newly expanded site designed to acquaint people in North America with Red Hat’s growing family of partner ecosystems. Today’s beta version of Red Hat Marketplace explores our three largest ecosystems: Red Hat OpenStack, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Red Hat JBoss Middleware.
Red Hat Marketplace currently falls short of a true marketplace, but our future releases will help it grow into its name.
How is Red Hat Marketplace organized?
Red Hat Marketplace dedicates one landing page to each of the three featured ecosystems, plus an introductory landing page. Content includes news and featured partners and technologies for each ecosystem, along with a product catalog where you can browse and query by partner and solution.
What is the future vision for Red Hat Marketplace?
We have several initiatives underway to improve Red Hat Marketplace and our strategies in general for engaging with partners, customers, and developers. Soon we will fold the rest of our partner ecosystems – Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, and Red Hat Storage – into Red Hat Marketplace. And in parallel, we will introduce e-commerce capabilities that will streamline transactions within an integrated framework of customers, partners, resellers, and Systems Integrators.
How can I be featured in your catalog?
To join our Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or our Red Hat JBoss Middleware ecosystems, you can fill out an application form and then post your application(s). To join our Red Hat OpenStack ecosystem, please contact marketplace@redhat.com.
How do I certify my solutions on your platforms?
For hardware, please refer to guidance provided in the Red Hat hardware catalog. For all other platforms, please reach out to marketplace@redhat.com.
I see catalog listings that come from my company. How can I access and edit my data?
If your listings are specific to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Red Hat JBoss Middleware, please log in to our “Partner Center” with a valid account and make the changes, which will soon thereafter be reflected in Red Hat Marketplace.
If instead your listings are for Red Hat OpenStack, please contact marketplace@redhat.com for details on how to become a partner.
How can I find out who in my company has valid credentials to update our catalog collection?
Contact marketplace@redhat.com.
What does it mean if a partner or product is lacking a description or a link to the partner or product site?
We are working to populate all such empty fields.
How can I make recommendations for new or improved features?
Please contact marketplace@redhat.com.
Thanks for your interest in Red Hat Marketplace!
