Migrating from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0 Software Collections (RHEL7)

MySQL 5.7 has been available for RHEL6 and RHEL7 as a Software Collection since Red Hat Software Collections (RHSCL) 2.3. Since RHSCL 3.2, MySQL 8.0 has been made available as the rh-mysql80 Software Collection for RHEL7. This article describes how to upgrade from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0.
