What driver is required to support the Q500, Q1000, and Q3000 HP Mezzanine graphics adapters?

Issue: The Q500, Q1000, and Q3000 HP Mezzanine graphics adapters are supported only with the Generic Vesa driver under RHEL6.2 or higher.

Resolution:

Currently, these devices are not fully supported by the Nouveau driver included with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Instead, the 'nomodeset' kernel parameter must be added to the Kernel boot line of the system's grub.conf file in order to allow the Generic Vesa driver to be used. If this article is linked to a certification, please assume that the system was certified using the Generic Vesa graphics driver for these devices.
