Is it possible to change superblocks, and if so, how is that done?

Please note: This must be done from rescue mode. Preforming this procedure on a live filesystem may cause corruption!

In addition, changing the superblock on a bad filesystem only occasionally works. Please keep good, up to date backups of all important data.
