How do I add a new user to Cyrus IMAP?

Enable IMAP (without SSL) so that cyradm can connect, the following will check to see if cyrus-imapd is running. Use the start option instead of status if you need to start the service.
# service cyrus-imapd status
Uncomment the following line in /etc/cyrus.conf file:
#imap cmd="imapd" listem="imap" prefork=5
