When booting my system with Intel processors using Xen kernel, I get the an error message regarding the module "microcode" during the system start up. What does that mean?

The error is Applying Intel Microcode update: FATAL: Module microcode not found. ERROR: Module microcode does not exist in /proc/modules" [FAILED].
