Announcing the Beta release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4

Today we’re pleased to announce the availability of the Beta release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.4. RHEL 8.4 includes a wide range of new features and enhancements, many of which were made in direct response to our customers’ requests.

WHAT’S NEW IN 8.4?
RHEL 8.4 brings new features and enhancements that deliver on the promise of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8: to provide a secure and consistent foundation for the open hybrid cloud with the ability to deliver services and workloads faster, with less effort - any application on any footprint at any time.

With RHEL 8.4 Beta you will experience:
- Simpler, flexible hybrid cloud adoption with improved subscription portability across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Greater visibility into subscription deployments across hybrid cloud estates at scale.
- Extended capabilities from Red Hat Insights services, including: threat intelligence and security compliance reporting and subscription management (requires RHEL 8.4 Beta).
- Easier views of complex system performance data thanks to the RHEL web console, Grafana dashboard and Red Hat Performance Co-Pilot.

Additional enhancements include:
- Updated databases and language frameworks delivered through Application Streams
- RHEL Container Tools Automatic Container Image Updates
- System Roles for SAP and Crypto Policies
- RHEL System Roles Collection for Red Hat Ansible Automation Hub
