The following are the major features of Red Hat Network Release 5.2.5.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Kickstart Support

  • Support was added for kickstarting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 systems from Red Hat Network. Some customers will be able to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 on their systems from the web interface, as well as any previous versions they have access to.

Red Hat Network Satellite 5.4 Support

  • Support was added for version 5.4 of Red Hat Network Satellite. Satellite customers will be able to activate and use their 5.4 Satellites with Red Hat Network as of this release.

Red Hat Network Proxy 5.4 Support

  • Support was added for version 5.4 of Red Hat Network Proxy. Added support includes the ability to install Proxy 5.4 from the web interface. The web installer has been deprecated in favor of the command line installer that was included in Proxy 5.3. Future releases of Red Hat Network Proxy will not include the ability to install from the web, only from the command line tool.
