Upgrade to the 2.3 release of Red Hat 3scale API Management
The 2.3 release of Red Hat 3scale API Management provides new features and enhancements in APIcast, including:
- New out-of-the-box APIcast policies to enhance API management capabilities:
- Capture arguments in a URL and rewrite the URL
- Edge limiting provides customized local rate limiting
- Verify realm and client roles using RH-SSO / Keycloak
- Enable or disable APIcast access logs for a service
- Default credentials for anonymous access
- Better performance with batching and caching of authorizations and reports
- Enhancements to exiting policies:
- Modify query parameters when rewriting URLs
- Header modification policy allows templating
- OAuth 2.0 token introspection now supports caching and logout/token revocation
- OpenID Connect capabilities enhanced for better integration with third-party identity providers
- Support for JSON Web Key (JWK) Set through OpenID Connect Discovery
- Additional new features:
- Improved observability with OpenTracing integration in APIcast
- Create and view custom Prometheus metrics in the API Gateway
- Support for communication via forward HTTP proxy
