Tips for searching Fuse documentation

Updated -

The Red Hat Fuse product information set includes numerous documents. To help you find documentation about a specific subject or topic, the Customer Portal provides advanced search filtering tools. This article describes some tips for using the search filtering features.

To start searching the Portal, click the magnifying glass icon in the top menu banner on any portal page.
start a search

Enter a keyword or topic into the search field, then click Search. For example, try searching for the keywords "fuse install." The downside of this general search is the large number of results that match these keywords. You need a way to narrow the search results to a more manageable number.

When you are looking for a specific piece of information, a labeling or navigation system is useful to locate the relevant section in the Fuse product documentation. You can use the search filter selection labels in the Portal search to navigate quickly through search results and find the documentation you want.

Searching for "fuse install," displays a search results page with many, many results, but also includes a row of filter selections at the top of the results page. To narrow the list of results, click Red Hat Fuse under Product Filters, and Documentation under Content Type Filters.
select search filters
You can filter the results further by selecting a product Version using the pull-down menu in the blue Red Hat Fuse filter box.

To try the search filtering, click this pre-filtered search link to see the advanced portal search tools in action.
