Red Hat Certificate System 9.2

Red Hat is pleased to announce the release of Red Hat Certificate System 9.2, supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 and based on the open source PKI capabilities of Dogtag Certificate System 10.4. Red Hat Certificate System is designed to provide certificate lifecycle management - issue, renew, suspend, revoke, archive/recover, and manage single and dual-key X.509v3 certificates needed to handle strong authentication, single sign-on, and secure communications.

Red Hat Certificate System subscription sales are limited to Red Hat’s North American geography. Please note, however, that all worldwide existing customers are entitled to renew their Red Hat Certificate System subscriptions if they so desire.

Here are some of the highlights of this release:

Secure Channel Protocol 03 support for stronger security

  • Red Hat Certificate System 9.2 supports Secure Channel Protocol 03 for communication with smart cards supporting this standard.

Hardware Security Module (HSM) support (with the most recent FIPS-validated software and firmware for these HSMs)

  • Thales nShield Connect 6000
  • Gemalto SafeNet Luna SA 1700

Smart Cards and Token support

  • Gemalto TOP IM FIPS CY2 64K token (SCP01)
  • Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) SmartCafe Expert 6.0 (SCP03)
  • SafeNet SC-650 (SCP01)
